Ever since Roy Bayley Russell founded the company back in 1925, the Russell family has remained squarely behind the wheel of Russell Transport Pty Ltd.
By 1930, their fleet had expanded to include three trucks based in a warehouse on New Farm Wharf. Further expansion resulted in constructing a specialised workshop in Macquarie Street, New Farm.
100 years after the foundation of the company, it is now a group of companies delivering a range of logistics services. Member Phil Russell will tell us more about this family business that has adapted and thrived and grown over the past 100 years.
2:30 PM | Uniting Church Centre, 52 Merthyr Road, New Farm
Entry Fee (cash preferred) | $5.00 members | $10.00 non-members | includes afternoon tea.
