OUR SOCIETY is the “Featured Historical Society” in the latest E-bulletin of the Canberra-based Federation of Australian Historical Societies, which represents around 1,000 historical and heritage societies in Australia.

Dr Bernadette Flynn, the Federation’s Online Outreach Officer, happened to stay at Teneriffe when she was attending the Federation’s AGM at the Royal Historical Society of Queensland (RHSQ) in October.

“I was inspired to see the wonderful interpretative signage you had around the river,” she said, and this led to her wishing to find out more about how NFDHS works with local and community history and the council.

Following an interview with Gerard Benjamin, Dr Flynn produced the article which appears in the Federation’s current E-bulletin  (click to view).
