ON Saturday 24 June, Freshwater Apartments in Gray Street, New Farm, hosted the unveiling ceremony for its long-awaited historical plaque.
Along with residents were many members of the Ruddle and Maloney families, a large Naval contingent from HMAS Moreton, as well as Federal, State and Local government members.
“One plaque is on the boardwalk adjacent to the Freshwater sign and the other is under the fig trees on the Gray Street footpath,” said building manager Denise Buckby.
Freshwater’s plaque joins many others in New Farm and Teneriffe. The New Farm & Districts Historical Society has worked closely with local bodies corporate to produce a satisfying outcome for them and the community.
